The Upper floor
The upper floor, in the building’s centre line, sustains the Abbey’s interior corridors. Although these spaces are not open to the general visit, it is where the Abbey is more alive, once full of students, and today still kept in use.
Their windows look upon the Cloister, the building’s heart.
Silence, and the fragrance of old books, while walking through these corridors evokes the tranquility of the canons’ life. It is in places like this one where we realize how far we can be from the noise and the dullness we are immersed in nowadays.
